Electronic Flight Information System, EFIS
The panel and switches for the EFIS Panels are made from Flightdecksolutions. The switches for NAV MODE and RANGE switch with 45 degrees!
For the QNH input, I use also a rotary encoder with push function from FDS. I use the push function to put the QNH display to standard (STD). I have unfortunately still developed no switch function in order to be able to switch the QNH display at the encoder between hectorpascal and millibar.

Flight Control Unit, FCU
I am working for many months to built the needed parts for my Flight Control Unit. Since I had tested the individual components of the IO Cards, it was simple to build my board setup for the glareshield. All buttons, encoders and displays works fine and can be programmed in the near future.

FCU display and computer setup
In a first step, I rebuilt my Flightdeck into the middle of my office again. Now have the possibility to build the shell around the cockpit. Also, the projection distance is now correct to the wall.
The order of the individual elements for the FCU display was difficult. To make it possible to show a font display I had to tranfer the PCB's for the 7segment displays to the back. I have forgotten the lightbars for the TRACK function of the FCU. I must therefore modify the lightbars once again.
Six computers works now in the network. Two computers for PFD's ND's stand directly behind the Flightdeck. Four computers for the 1. Flightsim, 2. ECAM's and StandBy instruments, 3. FCU and MCDU, 4. Overhead Logic and MCDU FO, stands at the side.

First test with IO Cards from Opencockpits
For a first test, I have ordered the USB extension Card, the masters Card and that display Card from IO Cards of Opencockpits. The IO Cards come from Spain of Manuel Velez and is to be compared from the construction with the german system FSBUS. The order was already after four days with me. One each computer in the network of flightsimulator you can connect an autonomous system of the IO Cards. Over an IOCP protocol the individual system of IO Cards communicate among each other. The user is to be able to build structured interface systems, and enables a big number from in - and outputs. Over the SIOC programming, a input like a Basic syntax, you can speak to the modules of the IO Cards over the IOCP protocol directly and you can influence specific offsets. So, the whole IO system becomes faster. Over SIOC, an Event programming is possible, you can generate whole system operations of the airplane.

Glareshield and first PM setup
All the parts of the glareshields are now painted and rebuilted again together.
Then I made a first computer Setup. I installed the FS9 for my Flightsim computer. PFD and ND displays for captain and first officer are powered via the Project Magenta software. For each display a computer is used. For the data transfer becomes the FSUIPC used for the FS9 and the WideFS software for the network. The protocol is TCPIP now and no more IPX over a 100 mbit Switch.

Glareshield
For the sides of the Glareshield, I have built an construction, on which I have unscrewed the individual 8mm MDF plates. The plates for the overhang are connected with hinges.
The upper side of the Glareshield consists of three plates. The left and the right plate is fixed at the side and below. The middle plate lies without fixation well on and can for the montage of switches, encoders and I/0 boards quickly removed. The depth of the middle plate amounts to 53 cm.
The centre pillar is 6x4 cm and at the sides about 20 mm leveled off. His angle amounts to 45 degrees to the horizon and finishes in 130 cm from the ground.
