10-30-2006 | Construction of my A320 shell
I have decided to built a small shell with four windows! All parts are screwed. I can decide still on six windows solution. I have built the Shell without CAD program! However, I will still try to make 2D CAD drawing. As a presentation I have taken over the mass from Simpit. The side windows are moved 10 cm inwards. The shell it is 260 cm wide. Also the side windows are 5 cm longer, around a good stability of the shell. Sometimes I have done this a lot of pictures, so that you can understand step by step the construction of the shell.

Some time ago, I have bought one used server rack very cheaply. I have installed 8 computers and the network technique into the rack. The server rack now stands in my small storeroom. Additionally, I have furnished also an instructor station behind the flightdeck. Over VNC, (virtual network computing), I am connected with all 8 flight computers.

Varnishing of main area, side area, aom boxes and pedestal
For a long time before the actual varnishing, I have devoted time intensively to the colors of my Flightdeck. The reflection of the flashbulb of pictures from the A320 cockpit doesn't return the right tone. Also on my photos, the lighter blue is returned by the reflection too brightly. After much visual color test, I have decided in favor of two blue tones, with which I am also very content.
Light blue: 2/3 RAL 5003 + 1/3 RAL 5004; Dark blue: RAL 5004
In a first step, I have put a primer for the lacquer on the MDF wood. Since I have no painting facilities unfortunately, I have to paint three coatings of the actual color with a lacquer scooter until I was very content with my results.

New building from Main, Side and Pedestal
In March 2004, I have bought the new ' ELITE' panels from Flighdeck Solutions for the glare section and pedestal. All panels together was a few millimeters too big for my pedestal however. Since I want to use these fantastic panels. I decided to build a new Full Size Flightdeck after some weeks. I have adopted the pedestal construction until on a few small alterations of A320 FLIGHTDECK. I have built the main area modular again. In a next step I will built in TFT displays in this section. I have built the site areas after my own constructions. The AOM Boxes are only built up to the pedestal end. Now I get a base of 280x180 cm..
